The government of Pakistan has informed the United States that it will not allow any country to take action inside Pakistani territory. Military action inside Pakistani territory is the absolute prerogative of Pakistani armed forces and no one can arrogate this right to himself. Government has given vast powers to the Chief of Army Staff for military operation in the tribal areas of the North West Frontier Province. A high level meeting took stock of the deteriorating law and order situation in the tribal areas and decided that the Chief of Army Staff would be "the principal for application of military effort". As a consequence of this decision the Frontier Corps and other law enforcing agencies would fall under the command of the Chief of Army Staff for the purpose of military operation. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani. It was attended by the Chief of Army Staff and the Director General of ISI Lt. General Nadeem Taj.

The situation in the tribal areas of the North West Frontier Province is grave and it needs cautious handling. It is time that the government takes proper action against the warring Taliban. The Lahore High Court has disqualified the Pakistani Muslim League leader from contesting the by-polls to be held on 26^th June. Nawaz Sharif was convicted in the plain hijacking case and was barred from holding any office. The sentence was commuted as a result of agreement reached between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as result of which Nawaz Sharif and his family were sent to Saudi Arabia for a period of 10 years.

The Sharifs later denied having signed any agreement at all and said that they were sent against their will. When the copy of the agreement was published in the press, they reluctantly accepted that there was an agreement but the period of agreement was 5 years.

It is unfortunate that the leaders and legislatures of PML – N took to street and ridiculed the judiciary. It has now become evident that Nawaz Sharif wants the Chief Justice to be restored hoping to get a favorable judgment. If the judges are not restored there are chances that Sharif may not be able to contest elections at all and his dream of becoming PM once again would die down.

War inside own country and with own people is certainly not jihad. It is rebellion.

Our people are living beneath the marginal line of poverty. The sick are not getting proper treatment .Our children are not getting proper education. Our all efforts should be directed to fight against these enemies.
